How do I permanently delete my IQ Institute account?

We understand that you may sometimes wish to permanently delete your IQ Institute account and associated personal data.


Before you proceed, please note that deleting your account is not the same as cancelling your subscription.

  • If you only wish to stop being billed or pause your membership, please visit the How do I cancel my subscription or trial? guide instead.
  • If you want all your account data removed permanently, follow the steps below to submit a Deletion Request under privacy regulations such as the GDPR (“Right to Be Forgotten”).

 

Important things to know before you request deletion

  • Permanent action: Once deleted, your account and data cannot be restored.

  • Verification required: To keep your data safe, we verify every deletion request to ensure it’s coming from the account owner. This helps prevent identity misuse and protects your privacy before we permanently remove your data.

  • Limited retention: In some cases, we may be required by law to retain certain records (for example, payment or tax information).

  • Processing time: Account deletion requests are usually completed within 30 days after successful verification.
     

How to request account deletion

  1. Submit your request using our secure form, linked below:

  2. Select the Category "Deletion Request" and fill in the required details:


     

  3. Tick the box confirming “I confirm I want to delete my account”.

    This acknowledgment is required to submit the form and confirms that you understand deletion is permanent and irreversible.

  4. Complete the required fields and submit your request using the same email address associated with your IQ Institute account.
     

  5. After you submit the form:

    • You’ll receive an automatic confirmation email titled
      “IQ Institute: Your Account Deletion Request Has Been Received.”
    • Follow the instructions in that email to verify your identity. You’ll be asked to reply with:
      • A government-issued photo ID (you may redact unrelated details).
      • Proof of address (e.g., a utility bill or bank statement issued within the last 3 months).
    • Once verified, our team will permanently delete your account in compliance with privacy regulations and confirm completion via email.
